On 29-30 May 2017 in Kyiv (Hotel Alfavito) took place International Conference "Modernization of infrastructure in Ukraine: new opportunities for private sector participation"

The conference was supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

Organizers: Academy of Public-Private Partnership, ACTIO Law firm,  Ukrainian PPP Development Support Center.

Partners of the event: Territory Development Agency, Dornier Consulting International, Baker McKenzie.

The conference was attended by about 80 delegates, including representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, leading international experts on public-private partnership, representatives of public authorities and the private sector of Ukraine. Foreign countries were represented by participants from the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Portugal, UAE and others.

At the conference it was discussed new international trends in the development of public-private partnership in the context of sustainable development goals of the United Nations, examined the role of public-private partnership in city development, presented the experience of PPP projects implementation in transport, energy, waste management, social infrastructure renovation and the possibility of implementing best international practices in Ukraine and prospects of implementation of projects in Ukraine on the basis of public-private partnerships in conditions of reforming legal regulation in this area.
