On May 7-9, 2018 in Geneva (Switzerland) took place International PPP Forum “Scaling up: Meeting the challenges of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through People-First Public-Private Partnerships”
This Forum is the third event organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on this topic. The purpose of the Forum is to exchange experience and create conditions for strengthening the role of private business in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through the application of a new PPP generation - the so-called People-First PPPs.
In the framework of this activity UNECE is working on improvement of approaches to initiating and implementing PPP projects, and also forms the Compendium of the best 500 PPP projects in the world that can be attributed to People-First PPPs. Over the last year, 60 projects from all over the world were selected to this list (published on the UNECE website), 15 of them were presented at Geneva.
These 15 projects include the project "Implementation of the system for fixation of violations in the field of road safety in the automatic mode in the city of Kyiv" developed by the Academy of PPP and submitted to the KCSA on the initiative of a private partner - LLC Safe Roads of Ukraine.
On May 8, this project was presented at the Forum in Geneva by Mykola Povoroznyk, the First Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration, and Irina Zapatrina, the Founder of the PPP Academy.
