On October 11, 2016 took place a meeting of the Ambassador of Spain in Ukraine Gerardo Ángel Bugallo Ottone with the Mayor of Olexandriya Stepan Tsapiuk with participation of representatives of the Academy of public-private partnership (president I.Zapatrina and executive director A.Shatkovska). Stepan Tsapiuk has informed the Ambassador about cooperation of the city with Spanish institutes on issues of implementation of the Sustainable Development Strategy of the City of Olexandriys adoptedon September 16 this year, and about plans to sign the Cooperation Agreement between Olexandriya and Sant Cugat city (Spain) that will take place on November 1, 2016 in Sant Cugat. He has also presented investment opportunities of the city and intentions to implement projects on modernization of city lightening system and complex thermo modernization of public buildings based on PPP. The Ambassador has supported the activity of the city on development of cooperation with cities and business in Spain. He underlined the importance of the cooperation in this direction as Olexandriya will be the first city in Ukraine that will come to such cooperation level with Spain. It was assured that the Embassy will provide all necessary support to such cooperation, inform representatives of Spanish business about investment opportunities of the city in the framework of its sustainable development strategy. It was agreed that the Ambassador will visit Olexandriya together in the framework of visit of Sant Cugat delegation to Ukraine, the dtae of which will be determined in the nearest future.
