The organization of conferences, seminars, round tables and public discussions on sustainable development of countries and cities, modernization of important infrastructure for human activities on the basis of public-private partnership is one of the important activities of the Academy of Public-Private Partnership. International ExpoCongress “Business for Smart Cities”

The main topic of the EXPO Congress - 2019 - "Increasing the role of business in Smart City Strategies (Smart City Strategies) in Ukraine and the region: the new economy." The first day of the Congress was dedicated to the participation of business in city transformation. The second – to smart cities of the region, experience and challenges.
Additionally to the Congress it was conducted 6 conferences on specific directions (2 parallel conferences per day): Smart Mobility; Smart Environment; Smart Economy; Smart Living; Smart Governance; Smart People.
Among about 140 speakers from 30 countries of the world were representatives of the Government of Ukraine, business and international experts on the above issues, including: Stepan Kubiv, Minister of Economic Development and Trade – First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine; Jordi Hereu, President of IdenCity, Mayor of Barcelona (2006 to 2011); Kari Aina Eik, Secretary-General of the Organization for International Economic Relations – OiER, Austria, Founder and Executive Director of the USC (United Smart Cities) program; Artyom Lisst, BBC World Service 2020 Editor-in-Chief; Epi Ludwik Nekaj, Founder and Head of Crowdsourcing Week, Singapore; Dr. Irfan Al Hassani, Economic Expert of the Dubai Competitiveness Office, Dubai Economic Development Department (DED), Dubai Government, UAE and many others.

The conference was attended by about 150 delegates, including representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, leading international experts on public-private partnership, representatives of public authorities and the private sector of Ukraine.
International conference “Modernization of infrastructure in Ukraine: new opportunities for private sector participation”

Organizers of the conference: Academy of Public-Private Partnership, ACTIO Law firm, Ukrainian PPP Development Support Center. The conference was supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
The conference was attended by about 80 delegates, including representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, leading international experts on public-private partnership, representatives of public authorities and the private sector of Ukraine. Foreign countries were represented by participants from the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Portugal, UAE and others.
