On October 9, 2017 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, under the chairmanship of the First Vice Prime Minister S. Kubiv, took place a meeting of the representatives of the Ministry with the consortium of Polenergia International, EDF Trading and Westinghouse, which have submitted a proposal for the implementation of a public-private partnership project “Energy Bridge “Ukraine-EU”

On October 9, 2017 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, under the chairmanship of the First Vice Prime Minister S. Kubiv, took place a meeting of the representatives of the Ministry with the consortium of Polenergia International, EDF Trading and Westinghouse, which have submitted a proposal for the implementation of a public-private partnership project “Energy Bridge “Ukraine-EU”, which could become the first PPP project implemented in accordance with the updated PPP legislation.

The Project is aimed at the integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the ENTSO-E European grid and creation of a financial mechanism for the completion of power units 3 and 4 of Khmelnitsky NPP.

The legal model for implementing the Project was structured by specialists of the Academy of Public Private Partnership and Baker McKenzie.
